A Message from the President

DZT Service

DZT embraced me at a challenging time in my life. As a first semester sophomore recovering from nodules, I had just been required to quit the musical involvement that I cherished dearly at Lee University. I quickly found a family in the group of girls that I had called stranger’s only months prior. Entering this sisterhood stretched me immeasurably. I found unknown strength and gifts and was given multiple opportunities to develop and use them. I immediately fell in love with Delta Zeta Tau, the body of Christ that the girls made up and it’s principles of character and integrity, always serving the Lord primarily and then others above themselves.

Today, I can honestly say that I am able to look back on my six semesters with absolutely no regrets. Serving in my seventh and final semester as President, it is only from the opportunities of service, leadership, and relationship that I have developed into the young woman that I am today.

As a Christ-lover I believe that I am responsible to live my life in constant growth, fulfilling the Lord’s plan in every realm of influence he has given me.

My heart is overwhelmed as God directs me to fulfill his will for such a time is this in DZT. I have pledged my word to my sisters in DZT to be the greatest servant in this position and never ask anyone to do something I am not willing to do myself. DZT is in route to multiple new establishments, understanding that God created each of us to grow. Together we hope that the love we share for the Lord and each other will spill over into everything we touch. Our motto “We Seek to Serve,” is only appropriate as our organization works in unity to play a part in God’s grand design of building his kingdom. My prayer for DZT is that the words you read will be evident in sight on Lee’s campus, in the Cleveland community, and in time through out the world. Mother Teresa said, “The action of Love is service.” We Seek to Serve.
